The School of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, opened a small teacher-led public high school that emphasizes urban planning, architecture, and community building. The first of its kind in the nation, the School of Urban Planning and Architecture, or SUPAR, school uses GIS technology as a central resource.
