Makes you think

This is a great introduction on oberserving your surroundings before taking students out to do field work or GPS data collection. What are we seeing - what data are we collecting - and how do they interact. Why are things arranged the way they are, whether from natural or man-made influences. I won't make them wear a tie to hike, although in the desert it could double as a tourniquet in case of snake bite.
