This activity was established to illustrate the types of questions that could be posed in setting up and running a geocaching course. This course was set up and run in Lakewood Colorado USA, at a public school. The course built on what students were learning about the Mayflower and the Pilgrims’ settlement in Massachusetts USA in the early 1600s. The activity also provided an outdoors activity, and an engagement with geotechnology. However, the ideas presented here could be adapted for any local theme or area. The course includes four questions. A clockwise and a counterclockwise version is included so that the teams are not all searching for the same geocache at the same time.
