USA and Gulf of Mexico

Hurricane Rita was the fourth-most intense Atlantic hurricane ever recorded, causing over $11 billion in damage on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico in late September 2005. It was the 3rd category 5 hurricane in the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season, which also included Hurricane Katrina. Use GIS to examine the spatial pattern of Rita as well as its attributes of time, wind speed, and pressure. Designated Energy lesson for Earth Science Week 2010.
