Using ArcGlobe, students create a video of under 60 seconds that starts in San Diego, California, "flies" around the world showing selected sites, and finishes back in San Diego. The sites include something of geographic interest on each continent, but they may need to do a little research to find some of them. Students gather longitude and latitude values for sites around the world and enter them into an Excel spreadsheet. They use those coordinates in ArcMap to create features, label features, and create annotation. They use the annotation to create an ArcGlobe animation and save it as a video. They investigate and visualize mapping data within a GIS to communicate a message to an audience.
