Description:

This 5 week online spatial thinking and geotechnology course offers one approach to teaching the topic. This course includes foundational readings, study and reflection questions, hands on work with web mapping tools including ArcGIS Online, quizzes, special projects, and much more. This lesson represents MODULE 2 POPULATION AND ECOREGIONS course 2. This logically follows the introductory course #1. Welcome to Investigations in Spatial Thinking. We will be investigating our world using digital maps and spatial thinking. We will discover how to tell stories with maps. Why? Because spatial thinking and telling stories with maps cut across multiple disciplines, because doing so is inquiry-driven, and because through digital maps, educators and their students, will analyze and communicate key issues in their communities, their region, and their world in space and time!
