What's T3G?T3G is a professional development event for educators who help other educators learn why and how to use GIS. Through modeling, practice, and discussion, participants who are already versed in GIS, in teaching with computers, and in conducting professional development boost their combination of skills.
Who conducts T3G?T3G is staffed by Esri personnel and renowned outside educators, creating a squad with decades of collected experience in helping formal and informal educators learn how to teach with GIS in a wide array of settings.
Who supports T3G?In addition to Esri, T3G is supported by the GeoTech Center, a nation-wide collaborative effort between colleges, universities, and industry to expand the geospatial workforce.See a map or profiles of attendees from 2009, 2010, and 2011.

Who can apply to participate?Successful applicants and participants in T3G are educators who are already (a) using GIS, (b) teaching with computers, and (c) experienced in leading professional development for educators.
What are the costs of participation?Participants must cover their transportation to and from T3G, five lunches, and three suppers. Double-occupancy housing and some meals are provided.
What are my responsibilities if I attend T3G?Upon completion of T3G, participants are expected to conduct PD events about the use of GIS in education; serve as "local experts" for states, districts, and schools; and stay engaged with the GIS education community.
