The Professional Master's Program in Geographic Information Systems (PMPGIS) teaches students how to design a sustainable world with GIS. Students learn how to model complex land, transportation and resource problems (and many more) using geospatial technologies and sustainability management workflows. This unique programs fosters advanced spatial thinking skills suing GIS techniques, and is the only program of its kind to offer a concentration in sustainability management. As an online program designed for working professionals, PMPGIS offers most of its courses online. Part-time students complete their degree in two years (nine quarters). In summer courses, students spend a short-week of intensive study in Washington state's Puget Sound region developing project ideas and presentations.
